As part of my educational endeavors, I developed and implemented the Vernon County Trauma Task Force. At Hansen Assessment and Educational Services, I work as an assessor, counselor, consultant, and clinical supervisor for other providers. My proficiencies include conducting AODA, anger management, and Domestic Abuse assessments, providing individual education and counseling, and facilitating groups for diverse individuals. This includes those facing addiction challenges, clients impacted by trauma, those dealing with OWI cases, domestic violence perpetrators, and individuals involved in treatment courts.

My research interests and areas of expertise revolve around addiction, domestic violence, child abuse prevention and intervention, and the profound impact of trauma on development, relationships, and adult functionality. As an ACE Interface Trainer and Certified Wisconsin Batterers Treatment Provider, I am dedicated to positively impacting our community.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I enjoy watching my children excel in sports, traveling, staying active by walking and playing with my dog, Ariat, working out, and spending time with my family, including my first grandchild.

Let's connect and explore ways to create positive change together.

Wisconsin Association of Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Professionals

Although early on in my career, I'm incredibly passionate about Criminal Justice and Social Work. My educational journey has been rewarding, starting with earning an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Western Technical College and then achieving a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice-Corrections from Winona State University. My passion for change led me to complete the Social Work Training Certificate Program through Upper Iowa University. I recently completed my Masters of Social Work at Walden University, increasing both my knowledge and skills within the social work field.

I've been fortunate to gain valuable experience across diverse areas throughout my career. Most recently I have found a career within the therapy field, assisting and supporting individuals from all walks of like.Prior to that, I spent 2.5 years as a Child Protection professional, cultivating empathy and efficiency to positively impact vulnerable individuals' lives. Additionally, I dedicated myself wholeheartedly to assisting those facing mental health and substance use challenges in a service facilitation role within Comprehensive Community Services.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in traveling, camping, kayaking, fishing, and spending quality time with my husband and cherished family.

I am excited to learn from each other as we take this journey together!

I look forward to working with individuals who are motivated and willing to embrace the uncertainties of life while working through the "ick" that comes with it. My passion areas include supporting individuals who are identified as the most marginalized in society - neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, substance use and abuse, and criminal justice. This doesn't mean I am not eager to work with anyone looking to maximize their life potential.

I approach my role as a helper from a holistic, strength-based perspective - you are not your diagnosis (or charge), instead, diagnosis (or charge) plays a part in the "big picture." Mind, body, and spirit - each aspect of life will impact all others. I believe you are the owner of your life journey, and you hold the answers to obtaining your best life.

I look forward to joining you on your journey to self-fulfillment!
